One Outs : Nobody wins, but I

Baseball fans, are you? Well yeah, some are and some not. Frankly speaking, I'm not really familiar with the rules and regulations of this game but I do really enjoy watching this anime. Maybe you can start it off by watching Big Windup! to make yourself clearer about baseball. Actually this anime is more of playing with human's psychology and strategies besides baseball. And I like the way the artist Shinobu Kaitani illustrates his character and the body movement, especially when the main character pitches the ball. I like his cunning face when he gives his competitors a showdown! Aha! One of the line in this anime which I find it quite true in this realistic world:
''Winning a game is not dependent on surpassing your opponents with your strengths, or waiting for lucky breaks. Conquer the opponents, crashing them and stepping over the fallen ones ruthlessly. Winning means dominating over countless bodies.''

I don't know how you guys decipher it, I'm not too sure about the meaning either, but it's just something that I wanted to share :) Although he sounds like a cruel and cunning player, (well, he really does in this anime) the overall plot is interesting. Make sure that you watch every scene of it, or else you sure feel lost.

Sypnosis : The story is about Tokuchi Toua, a successful gambler and a pitcher in the game called "One Outs". After losing a game of One Outs for the first time ever to Kojima, he joins the Lycaons with an odd contract, the One Outs contract, that decides Toua's pay based on his performance. As the Lycaons' famed star pitcher, he can pitch entire games without giving up a single hit. (p/s : I copied from Wikipedia, I'm too lazy to retype again. So, kindly refer to Wiki if you want a clearer plot :))
